Daddy Daughter Dance

Amelia finally got to go "upstairs" at Antonios, a much anticipated event in her young life!  She said there was "a lot of really good food" and even offered daddy a little bit of her pasta she twirled on her fork (that's our little Italiana).

These photos were taken with Daddy's camera phone.  Amelia called this her "Italian Sprite" because it was an Italian restaurant

At the dance there was cotton candy, popcorn, a lemonade fountain, marshmallows and chocolate.  They had the Chicken Dance, the Cha Cha Slide, the YMCA and of course the "I Danced with Cinderella" tearjerker!
The daddy daughter dance was hosted by Northland, A Church Distributed.... and it was such an amazing experience, Daddy and Daughter are already looking forward to next year!

Retropost: Amelia January 2010 (the tooth incident)

Some of you might notice that Amelia is missing a tooth.  Yes, she lost it but not naturally'.... it was a accident she cannot remember but mommy and Ninah (and Daddy) will never forget.
A couple of weeks after my moms partner Leonard passed away, we met to begin going through his things.  He worked for ATT for 30+ years, and had a antique pay phone in his possession.  Amelia was almost two and thought the 40lb pay phone was a toy and proceeded to pull the handle down.  The gigantic phone fell towards her, just missing her body and head, but knicking her top left tooth. From there, all I can remember is the 40 minutes drive with Ninah to the best dentist in Orlando, the incredible amount of blood and trying to keep calm. I noticed that anytime I showed anxiety, she would cry more..... so I had to stay as calm as possible.  In the end, they had to remove the tooth.  :(
When Tony got home he tried to get video of her teeth.  She had quite a day, and was not in the mood.... and got a much needed laugh out of us.

Happy Chinese New Year Daddy!

Daddy went away for one night on business, so Amelia and I had a girls night!
Our girls night consists of Chinese food (hence the Happy New Year wishes and PF Changs bag) and a movie.  Amelia wanted to send her daddy a little message, she's not shy for favorite guy!

Living Room Fort Building

And we're back.
I decided to "archive" Amelia's blog around August 2010 (almost a year and a half ago) after I started her a Facebook Page . I thought that one replaced the other until a sleepless night lead me to read every single post on her blog. I realized what I was posting was not just for the pictures, but to tell stories.... no matter how small. I posted these photos on her Facebook page a couples days ago, but wanted to share the story..... so we're back!

Welcome to Amelia's Living Room Fort! A daily occurrence at the Mancino house :) The giant pillows on our couch, plus the ottoman plus Grandma Genevieve's afghan all go into making her own little world. Grown ups are often invited in, but can't fit..... so its mostly Amelia and her baby doll.

I told her to make a sweet face, and this is what I got....

I told her to make a sassy face, and this is what I got...... :)
